Opposition Researcher
We are seeking an Opposition Researcher to help build and lead our research capabilities for high-profile federal and statewide races. This role is fully remote and ideal for a fast-moving researcher who can find damaging material and translate it into actionable opportunities for digital content, social media, and earned media.
The Opposition Researcher will spearhead our opposition research operation, supporting Senate, House, and Gubernatorial campaigns, PACs, and allied entities. This role requires strong research instincts, speed, and the ability to work with the creative team to convert research into viral digital content.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading the opposition research wing of a growing firm working with high-profile political clients
Conducting deep-dive research on candidates, elected officials, and political figures
Monitoring media coverage and flagging key developments in real time
Identifying opportunities to deploy research through social media, press pitches, or paid advertising
Writing scripts and developing concepts for viral digital and television ads based on research findings
Responding quickly to time-sensitive research and communications needs under tight deadlines
Desirable experience and qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in political research or communications
Prior experience on Capitol Hill, with a campaign, political committee, or advocacy organization preferred
Strong familiarity with the current political, media, and news environment
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Comfort juggling multiple requests in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings
